The Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Hassan Bala Abubakar, has urged Nigerian Air Force (NAF) personnel to remain resolute and battle-ready in the ongoing fight against terrorism and related criminal activities.
Speaking at a Christmas luncheon in Maiduguri, organized by the Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai, Abubakar emphasized that the war is far from over.
He highlighted the vital role of the NAF, not only in defending the airspace but also in safeguarding the nation’s core values and supporting ground forces and other security agencies.
Abubakar praised the NAF’s efforts, noting their significant contribution to stabilizing the region by incapacitating insurgents, disrupting their activities, and reducing threats to innocent lives.
He stressed the importance of modern and versatile platforms to tackle the nation’s security challenges effectively. Looking ahead to the new year, he urged the troops to stay united, focused, and steadfast as they continue their mission.
Air Vice Marshal EOE Ebiowe also commended the NAF’s rapid response and airstrike impact in countering recent terrorist attacks, reinforcing their commitment to ending the menace of terrorism.
