DIG Hashimu Argungu (Rtd), Chairman of the Police Service Commission (PSC), has committed to eradicating corruption in police recruitment, promotion, and discipline.
In a recent meeting with a delegation from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), led by Mr. Paul Turay, Argungu outlined plans to introduce written examinations for promotions within the Nigeria Police Force to enhance personnel quality and management.
The PSC is seeking continued UNDP support to effectively manage its responsibilities in appointing, promoting, and disciplining officers. Mr. Turay’s delegation, which included Napoleon Idamwenhor Enayaba and Chinpihol Kipgen, expressed support for the PSC’s new leadership and aimed to strengthen ongoing partnerships and capacity-building efforts.
