DSS Claims It Lost Two Personnels During Sunday IPOB Attack

Peter Afunanya, the spokesperson of the Department of State Services DSS in a statement on Sunday, August 23, said the attack occurred in Emene in Enugu State which claimed the lives of two police officers could have been averted.
The Agency has accused IPOB members of attacking and killing two of its personnel.
The secret police stated that there is an ongoing investigation aimed at arresting everyone involved in this attack.
“The Service lost two personnel in what was clearly an unprovoked violent attack launched by IPOB on the team,” he said.
Afunanya described the attack as unprovoked, noting that efforts are being made to ensure the killers face justice.
The agency condoled with families of the departed officers and also prayed for the repose of their souls
