The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has clarified that former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello is not in their custody, despite claims from his media office.
The EFCC confirmed that Bello is still wanted under a warrant related to alleged money laundering involving N80.2 billion. Their spokesperson stated that media reports suggesting his detention are incorrect, and they continue to seek his arrest after multiple unsuccessful attempts.
