The Borno Police Command reported a recent attack in Maiduguri where an Improvised Explosive Device killed one man and injured 11 others during a protest against bad governance.
The injured were taken to the State Specialist Hospital Maiduguri, and the deceased’s body was sent for autopsy. Additionally, in Biu local government area, a case of culpable homicide was reported where Ibrahim Bulama allegedly killed his wife, Maryam Ibrahim, after hitting her with a stick.
The suspect has been arrested, and investigations are ongoing. These incidents have raised the total number of deaths in the state to 17 within the past 48 hours. The police assure that normalcy has been restored and investigations are continuing.
