The Kaduna State Police Command has arrested five suspected kidnappers, a notorious car thief, and a spiritualist following a series of operations aimed at dismantling criminal activities in the region. The arrests, made in Kundun Village, led to the recovery of a stolen Toyota Hilux and other stolen items. Three of the suspects, Umar Haruna, Shuaibu Umar, and Hairatu Muntari (aka Talatu), were apprehended as part of an operation targeting Haruna, the suspected gang leader, who remains at large.

During investigations, it was revealed that the kidnappers had used ransom payments to purchase bags of maize, which were recovered as part of the evidence. In another case, a kidnapping incident was reported on October 31 when a 3-year-old girl from Agaji village was abducted. The kidnappers demanded a N2 million ransom, which was paid, leading to the child’s release. On November 8, one suspect, Isa Sa’adu, was arrested in connection with the kidnapping. He confessed during interrogation, and police recovered a variety of items from him, including cash, a motorcycle, a bicycle, and a mobile phone.
