Kogi former governor Yaya Bello finally honour EFCC invitation.

Yahaya Bello, the former Governor of Kogi State, has honored an invitation from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) after being declared wanted for alleged fraud and corruption during his tenure. His media team stated that this decision followed consultations with family, legal advisors, and political allies.

Bello emphasized his respect for the rule of law and the importance of due process, noting that he has consistently engaged with the legal proceedings related to his case. He intends to clear his name, asserting that he has nothing to hide.

The former governor expressed his support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s efforts to combat corruption and promote sustainable economic development in Nigeria. He highlighted his own initiatives against graft while in office. Bello was accompanied by prominent figures to the EFCC headquarters, and his team hopes for a professional and respectful engagement with the agency.
