Mrs. Beatrice Ekweremadu, the wife of former Deputy Senate President Senator Ike Ekweremadu, has returned to Nigeria after being freed from a UK prison.
A source confirmed her arrival to DAILY POST on Wednesday, stating that she returned on Tuesday. Mrs. Ekweremadu, along with her husband and Dr. Obinna Obeta, was convicted in the UK for their involvement in organ harvesting.
Senator Ekweremadu received a 10-year sentence, while his wife was sentenced to six years. Her return has been celebrated in Enugu State, with many hoping for the swift return of her husband.
