The Commissioner of Police in Enugu State, Mr. Kanayo Uzuegbu, recently decorated 92 newly-promoted senior officers within the Enugu State Police Command.
The officers, who were elevated by the Police Service Commission, included 20 Chief Superintendents of Police (CSP), 18 Superintendents of Police (SP), and 54 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSP).
During the ceremony, which took place on Thursday, CP Uzuegbu congratulated the officers, urging them to see their promotions as a call for greater dedication, responsibility, and discretion in their duties.
He emphasized that the promotions should serve as motivation for enhanced diligence and productivity. Other members of the Command’s Management Team, including DCP Olasoji Akinbayo, DCP Adebowale Lawal, and ACP Hope Isiani-Okereke, also congratulated the officers and reminded them of the importance of professionalism and integrity in their new roles.
CSP Chidozie Okebugwu, who spoke on behalf of the newly promoted officers, expressed gratitude to the Inspector-General of Police, Dr. Kayode Egbetokun, and the Police Service Commission for their promotions. He also assured the Commissioner and his team that the officers would continue to uphold the trust placed in them and work to exceed expectations. The event was attended by the officers’ families and associates.
