The Katsina State Police Command has arrested two individuals for aiding banditry and recovered suspected stolen livestock.
The arrests were made on July 25, 2024, in Jibia Local Government Area. The suspects, from Zandam village, were found with two rams, one sheep, and a goat believed to be rustled.
They admitted to receiving these animals from a notorious bandit leader named Nura of Mazanya village, who is currently at large. The suspects were on their way to sell the animals at Magama market.
The police are working to apprehend the fugitive and continue investigating the case. This operation is part of ongoing efforts to combat banditry in the region, led by Commissioner Aliyu Abubakar-Musa.
