Security chiefs visit Njaba, okwelle following gunmen attacks

In response to a recent failed attack on the Njaba Police Divisional Headquarters and assaults on northern scrap dealers in Okwelle, heads of various security agencies in Imo State conducted a confidence-building visit to both locations.

According to ASP Henry Okoye, Public Relations Officer of the Imo State Police Command, the delegation included CP Aboki Danjuma, Brigadier General UA Lawal of the 34 Artillery Brigade, and other security leaders. They commended officers for their bravery and urged them to maintain vigilance in protecting the community.

The delegation extended condolences to families affected by the violence and visited injured victims in the hospital, assuring residents of ongoing efforts to apprehend those responsible. Additionally, they met with leaders of the Northern communities in Ama Hausa to reaffirm their commitment to the safety of all residents.

Okoye emphasized that these collaborative efforts reflect a proactive response to recent security challenges and are aimed at fostering trust and cooperation within the community.
