Thomas Mathew Cooks, who attempted to assassinate Donald Trump, had been extensively researching both Trump and President Biden’s events and was focused on finding a target.
The FBI’s investigation revealed that Cooks, through a series of detailed online searches, identified Trump’s July 13 rally at the Butler Farm Show as a potential target.
Despite a thorough investigation involving nearly 1,000 interviews, the motive behind Cooks’ actions remains unclear. His search history showed significant preoccupation with the rally’s logistics and location.
