President Bola Tinubu has instructed the Nigerian military to eliminate banditry and other forms of insecurity by the end of 2025.
Minister of Defence, Abubakar Badaru, confirmed this in a viral video, stating that the military is intensifying its efforts against bandits and criminal activities.
He emphasized that the bandits are on the run and that operations will continue until they are completely flushed out. Additionally, he mentioned that mining activities have resumed in Zamfara as part of ongoing efforts to address the security challenges in the region.
The government, led by the Chief of Defence Staff and the National Security Adviser, is working tirelessly to meet the security target set for the country.
