A fresh wave of violence has hit Emichi village in Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State, leaving several people feared dead after a brutal attack by unidentified gunmen.
According to reports obtained by DAILY POST, the assailants invaded the village around 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, unleashing gunfire on unsuspecting residents. The sudden onslaught caused widespread panic, forcing many villagers to flee for their lives.
Sources reveal that there was no immediate response from security forces during the attack, leaving the community vulnerable and defenseless.
This tragic event follows closely on the heels of another deadly incident in Otobi-Akpa, where 11 individuals were reportedly killed by suspected herdsmen just a day earlier.
