Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State has raised serious concerns about Boko Haram members using internally displaced persons (IDP) camps as hideouts. He emphasized that this infiltration poses a significant security threat and risks the well-being of displaced persons.
During a recent resettlement initiative, he called on the Nigerian Army and security agencies to take immediate action to protect the vulnerable populations in these camps. Zulum also highlighted social issues, such as the exploitation of young girls, which he said is damaging the state’s cultural values.
