The Department of State Services (DSS) has clarified its recent visit to the Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) office in Abuja.
The DSS stated that the visit was part of a routine investigation conducted by two unarmed operatives. They described the portrayal of the visit as a raid or harassment as inaccurate and misleading. The DSS emphasized that such official inquiries are standard procedure and not indicative of illegality.
They urged the public to disregard what they called false narratives and reaffirmed their commitment to professionalism in their duties.
