Apc chieftain Abayomi Mumuni ask Tinubu to intervene on education Minister’s policy students must be 18 years to sit for WAEC, NECO exams

Ambassador Abayomi Nurain Mumuni, a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to intervene in a recent decision by Minister of Education Tahir Mamman. Mamman’s policy requires that students must be at least 18 years old to sit for the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and National Examinations Council (NECO) exams.

Mumuni argues that this policy could have adverse effects, such as delaying students’ educational and career goals, increasing dropout rates, and causing unnecessary stress. He believes it would limit educational opportunities and potentially worsen competition for higher education spots.
