As christ Ambassadors International college, roll-out drums to celebrates its 25th anniversary of excellence achievement on the wings of integrity , it has reiterated its commitment to nurturing children with high standard of education, in the country .
The Chief Executive Officer of the college Evang Mrs. Lillian Bademosi, while unveiling the Jubilee Anniversary Celebration, pointed out that times and culture had changed over the years, but the school did not change from its mission.
The celebration which took place at the Ambassadors Hall of the college on September 28th, 2023. Evang. Bademosi the CEO said in her written speech: ‘’ exactly 25 years ago today, what started as a dream came into fruition as our gate were opened the first set of 18 boys and girls aged between 10 and 11 who in fulfillment of their dreams were also making history as the first set of ambassadors”
She added, these past years our school has been a faith-based, and we have shunned religious discrimination, we open our door to whoever wants to come in, so far the parents are willing to follow our tradition.
”We are celebrating 25th years in formation of children;CAIC has never wavered from the original Mission of its founder. We are happy and thankful to God that this school has produced eminent personalities in our society and beyond.”
The CEO, while acknowledging God for finding her worthy for the glorious assignment of raising kingdom ambassadors, students and pupils who are harboured in the fear of the Lord along side the quest for knowledge also commend efforts of teachers, their sacrifices, commitment and dedication to ensure they raise a total child Inline with the mission and vision of CAIC.
She expressed delight at the journey so far for the school. Her words: “We are celebrating our unparallel achievements in the last 25 years which is as a result of our numerous sacrifices. But we are determined now more than ever to place the school at par with other high schools in the world.
We are aware that the hope of any nation is basically on the children and the quality of education they receive. We are in the vanguard of this crusade to restore hope to our troubled country and ensure that we deliver the future we will all be proud of”.
However, she added that it wasn’t all rosy at the beginning “ We’ve gone through some challenges in terms of population, infrastructure and so on, and we were able to overcome by the grace of God. We started with eighteen children , but today we are like a tree planted by the Riverside and watered-down by the Lord.
In terms of performance, we are also doing excellently well. We are one of the best in the Western and we’ve won various awards. Our past students are excelling in various sectors of the economy.” she said.
The school boasts of state of the art learning facilities and well qualified teachers, having produced individuals and champions in various fields of endeavour.
Speaking at the event, the keynote speaker, a former Nigerian ambassador to the Philippines Amb. Dr. Yemi Farounbi advised the students to be good ambassadors of the institution, while also urging them to standout and be competitive wherever they are and never forget that they are winners.
In his words: this is an ambassador talking to ambassadors, your school has offered you all the facilities you ever think of, I have sighted the sport facilities, mathematics and all other facilities capable of producing ambassadors and I know Nigeria are producing ambassadors in Christ ambassadors”
“I have seen wealthy people became poor, I have also seen rich people walking on the street, but quality education is the permanent legacy every parent should endeavour to bestow on their children”
“Be our ambassadors wherever you go, be different from many others, be competitive and never forget that CAIC is for the winners.”
“However, let me assure you that your parents have made good choice for you, bringing you to a citedal of learning where ambassadors are made. The CAIC will grow quantitatively because of your hardwork, discipline and commitment,” he added.
Dr. Farounbi said “the first duty of any ambassador is to represent where he or she comes from, you represent yourself your parents and the institution, you cannot represent these three bodies with an empty brain you need knowledge to achieve this.
The quality of education also determined your vision, thinking of your vision not a vision of making money in a wrong way, but what you can offer to the society after you are given all what it takes to become an ambassador ”
On his part the headteacher Mr. Christian Orjim said the CAIC aim to provide a broad and balanced education for all the children within a happy, stimulating and healthy environment and we want each child to achieve the best he or she can.
Our school has a strong tradition of celebrating achievement and encouraging children’s self-esteem. That’s why we gather here to celebrate excellence, commitment to duty of moulding the future ambassadors to the limelight beyond measures.
Hitherto, Amb. Farounbi during his keynote addressed suggested the expansion of CAIC to a tertiary institution, a vision which the CEO Evang Lillian Bademosi during interview with selected journalists responded said “that has been part of our conversation, it precisely what the school is looking at but we just want to be sure, that’s exactly what God is saying and it has to fall in line with the will of God”
Interestingly, the celebration also featured Goodwill messages from various sources including association of Christian schools, speech by the senor prefect girls Tantoluwa Fadayomi, bible reading by the senior prefect boys Treasure Idowu, long service award to two outstanding staffs, Mrs. Amarachi olatinde Snr. Assist head boarding academics and co- curriculum and Mr. Akande John, depu head of college.
