Sunday Asefon who is the new President of the National Association Of Nigerian Students (NANS) says that he will shut down all the private universities if the nine months strike embarked upon by the Academic Staff Union Of Universities continues.
Mr Sunday revealed this while being interviewed in an online programme by Punch called the ” Roundtable “.
The NANS President complained bitterly about how long the strike has lasted and he said the association will engage ASUU leaders with the Federal government representatives in a bid to finding a lasting solution to strike.
The President of the Association further stated that after mediating between these two parties ie… the Federal government representatives and ASUU leaders and the strike are not called off with immediate effect, then NANS would go ahead with their plan of shutting down all private tertiary institutions in the Country.
