The Oyo State Health Insurance Agency is gearing up to enroll and validate 10,000 pupils for health insurance coverage as part of Governor Seyi Makinde’s comprehensive education strategy.
Dr. Sola Akande, the agency’s Executive Secretary, announced this during a visit to Dr. Nureni Adeniran, Chairman of the Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board.
Akande highlighted that this initiative marks the first of its kind in Nigeria and aims to serve as a model for other South-West states. Implementation is scheduled to commence in September, coinciding with the start of a new school session.
