The principal General of Christ’s high school, oleyo, Ibadan Dr. Mrs Adesimbo Kehinde Igbokoyi has bowed out of meritorious service from Oyo State ministry of education.
Newsieevents reports that the retirement of the academic don was a double celebration as it coincided with her 60th birthday.
In his word of exhortation pastor ‘Jide Ojurongbe the minister in charge of region 42, of the Redeemed Christian Church of God urged the people to work and plan their lives to the glory of God.
Taking his word of exhortation from Psm 119:34, Luke 12:19-21 Psm 90: 9-12 and 2nd corinthians 6:2 the man of God explained that life is unpredictable as one can depart to the mother earth at anytime and therefore is appropriate and pertinent for one to live a life worthy of emulation with good legacies.
Pastor Ojurongbe mentioned reasons one should emulates Christ while living on earth, saying that each day is attracted division of time naturally program by God according to Genesis 1:15.
He said each day comes with communication to families to work towards achieving excellence because of how short the day is, it is very important to live a righteous life.
The clergyman noted with humour and qood qualities of the celebrants to survive all the struggle in Nigeria sighting instance from the recent cashless policies, all the challenges channelled together signifies her strength in God. He prayed for the celebrant for better days ahead.
The Chairman of the occasion Elder Olukunle Olukoya described the celebrant as a dedicated professional who was raised by an academician.
“Dr. Mrs. Adesimbo Kehinde has contributed immensely to the educational development of Oyo State. He commended the husband Dr. Barr. Ade Igbokoyi who he classified among men in the heaviable class for his total support and cooperations to have encouraged his wife to the apex of her career” elder Olukoya said
Dr. Adesimbo’s retirement celebration, which was held at Jogor event centre in Ibadan Oyo capital, attracted several dignitaries from all walks of life including ANCOPPs to graced the Red carpet celebration.
In her farewell address from the public service, Dr. Mrs. Kehinde expressed gratitude to God for enabling her to reach the peak of her career as principal in the public school, stating that “I have no regrets whatsoever being who I am today.`
Her official retirement as principal of public school was on the 24th April, 2023 she officially bowed out of service without any stain.
The academic chief who is also non-executive director of Bevy group of schools in Ibadan attributed her successes in the profession to the cooperation of her beloved husband Dr. Barr. Ade Igbokoyi, her children, the goodwill she enjoyed from extended family and members the public by extension.
He thanked the governments of Oyo State for their hospitality and supports, urging them to extend same warmth to her successors.
In a brief profile of the okun-owa, Ogun State born academic scholar Dr. Mrs. Adesimbo Kehinde Igbokoyi graduated from the University of Nsukka where she obtained her bachelor degree in English language in 1998 and in 2008 she bagged her master degree in education, that motivated her to extend her resolute commitment to high-quality academic passion, she read further and obtain her doctorate degree from the international college of ministry, Ames Christian University, florida, USA.
The seasoned educationist got promoted by the Oyo State government as a principal General cadre, and appointed the principal of christ High school, oleyo ibadan the assignment she served till her retirement.
In a vote of thanks by the husband Barr. Dr. Ade Igbokoyi expressed profound gratitude to God for the age and professional elevation the wife has attended. Describing the wife as an epitome of beauty, Barr. Ade Igbokoyi said ” see the little baby girl of those days has suddenly turned 60, this can only be God. I thank God for his magnanimity showered on this little baby girl with all that she has achieved”
He specially acknowledged the RCCG Pastor and other highly respected dignitaries for creating time out of their busy schedules to graced the celebration.
The highlights of the event were the cutting of the birthday/farewell cake and presentation of gifts, prayers for the celebrant and her twin brother, praise and worship and lots more
Goodwill messages from her children and grandchildren televised from zoom, they pour praises and appreciations to celebrates their mother and grandmother and mother in law from the overseas. Many other goodwill messages also recorded from various quarters to celebrate the meritorious retirement and 60th birthday of the academic guru Dr. Mrs. Igbokoyi
