The approval to freeze the accounts of persons and firms connected to #EndSARS protest and protesters has been granted by a Federal High Court in Abuja.
According to TheCable, this was contained in a document dated November 5, 2020, which its approval was granted to Nigeria’s apex bank 16 days later.
Recall that the Central bank had on October 20, 2020, requested the Abuja Court to freeze the accounts of 20 promoters of the two weeks protest which was hijacked.
The clampdown on #EndSARS promoters by Federal Government started since the protest ended.
Meanwhile, Modupe Odele’s passport was seized by the Nigerian Immigration Service as she about leaving the country.
Odele, a lawyer, provided legal services to EndSARS protesters.
