Residents and business owners around Fagba at Iju Ishaga area of Lagos State are apprehensive over the clash between some Hausa youths and miscreants in the area.
The fracas, it was gathered, had led to injuries to some people while some properties were also reportedly damaged.
Some residents said the fight started on Tuesday, but the real reason behind it has not been uncovered.
But some residents claimed the violent protests which followed the shootings of unarmed #EndSARS protesters at Lekki area on Tuesday night might be the reason for the.clash.
But some residents said the problem was between traders and miscreants who tried to extort them.
One of the residents of the area, Tolashe Ademiju, said,.” Whatever is the cause, I think they should just stop. We have had enough trauma from what has been happening and we cannot add this to it.
“We want peace and we want political, religious and community leaders to talk to them to stop this attacks.”
The Police Public Relations Officer in Lagos State, Muyiwa Adejobi, could not be reached for his reaction as at the time of filing this report.
