Nollywood actress, screenwriter, and film producer, Ruth Kadiri has spoken out in support of an American actor, Will Smith’s reaction to a bad joke about his wife at the Oscars event.
She stated that any man who cannot defend his wife like Will Smith, should not get married to her.
Will Smith had stormed the Oscars stage and slapped comedian Chris Rock across the face for joking about his wife’s bald hair. Rock who was presenting the best documentary prize with a short comedy routine had cracked a joke comparing Jada Pinkett Smith’s tightly cropped hair to Demi Moore’s appearance in the film “G.I. Jane” and suggesting she appear in a sequel.
In a moment that triggered awkward silence and confusion in the Dolby Theatre, Smith strode up to Rock and slapped him. After returning to his seat. He yelled;
“Keep my wife’s name out of your fucking mouth.”

Reacting to the move taken by the American actor while sharing a photo of him, actress Kadiri noted that a man who cannot take Smith’s drastic kind of action to defend his wife is not eligible for marriage.
“Any man that cannot defend his wife like this should not marry her,” she wrote on her Insta-stories of her Instagram page.

She also added that no one should advise her about brutality but should issue that advice to police officers and the Russian President, Vladimir Putin.
