The Omilere Alaragbo Global Foundation is set to host the inaugural IFA-Osun Alaragbo International Cultural Festival in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria, on November 14, 2024. This highly anticipated event will be the first edition of an internationally recognized festival that promises to be one of the largest cultural celebrations in the world.
The festival, themed “Ifa-Osun”, will officially kick off on Thursday, November 14, starting with the Alaragbo Night/Aisun at 9 AM, followed by the grand procession at 10 AM. The venue for these events is the Olorunsogo Estate, Ayegun Oleyo, Orita Challenge in Ibadan.
In a statement signed by the Chief Host, Princess Abike Osunbunmi Ifasemilore, Yeye Alaragbo Oodua, the festival’s itinerary includes:
- November 16:
- 12:00 PM – Coronation Day
- 5:00 PM – Amala Night with music by Ibrahim Champion Apesin11 at the Light Magic Hotel & Event Center, Akala Expressway.
- November 17:
- 10:00 AM – Festival Grand Finale with cultural performances at Christ High School, Olosan Oleyo Road, Odo-Ona Elewe.
The IFA-Osun Alaragbo International Cultural Festival aims to bring together public figures, religious leaders, community influencers, and visitors from around the world to celebrate diverse cultural displays, promoting unity and peace in the Western region of Nigeria.
