Mapo came alive, as madam Taiwo Abeni Sinat Odunola burial party turns festival.

Mapo Hall and the entire premises of Oja’ba environment came alive with different tents erected across major space of the mapo.

Each tent was a set up party featuring live band  with not less than 4/5 Afrobeat musicians

The classical apparatus, traditional fathers led by progressive Baale’s of Oluyole LGA under the Chairmanship of Alhaji Chief Baale Kabiru Olajide of Ayegun Oleyo, groups with their special uniforms and attires eminently showcasing the reach Yoruba culture and cultural activities.

It was more of mapo annual festival, where lands and sundry from far and near gathered to beautify the nomenclature of traditional and joyfully exchanged love, greetings gifts, assorted kinds of foods cooked and prepared in the Yoruba standard.

Indeed it was a glorious home called of a matriarch and veteran community woman leader who lived a very focused life and contributed immensely to the growth and development of nation’s building in her immediate community.

In his remarks, first son of the deceased Mr kolawole said the mother glorious home called was a ceremony that drives all those she has impacted together, this is her legacies. I thank various religious organisations that are here to give my mother her last respect.

Death is a necessary end that will come when it will come. How and when it will come will make us think and act differently.

“We have been told by philosophers that the world is a stage where everybody plays his or her part.

My beloved mother played her part very well, as a critical components of good Muslim.

“Surely she played her role on earth very well. He left us at a time her visions is too loud especially in the area of counselling and advise, it is unfortunate but that is the will of the Almighty God.

my mother from all we have heard did not harbored ethnic and religious divide in her blood.

“When some of her women in their private discussion talk about things that will cause disunity, my mother talked about peace, love and unity and development.

 

She has brought all of us here today not because of her age but because she left us with good legacies . I will use this opportunity to urge all those that has come in contact with her especially those of us who have been given this privilege of holding very high exposures in the society that sometimes we don’t merit, but because God wants it that way and by divine providence we are holding such offices; we should emulate the life style of our late mother.

The Baale Ayegun oleyo community and the chairman progressive Baale’s of Oluyole LGA also spoke at the party saying the late Taiwo Abeni Sinat Odunola was a different kind of woman, she was humble, dedicated and a committed to the development of her community

“she built bridges not just between Muslims and Christians, but even within the government and political parties. We shall miss her, but more than anything else, we as Muslims, know that our mother is resting in the bossom of the Allah. May her gentle soul rest in peace.”

said no one could neither teach God knowledge nor question his decisions; therefore people should not feel despondent over the death of his mother, she lived a successful and fulfilled.

He said the deceased died at her appointed time by God and urged the people to emulate her good footprints.

My mother was a humble dedicated woman across all endeavours, she was loyal, she loved GOD. She was not biased, she didn’t create disparities either by political convenience, she was a lover of God from the heart and she loved her God and her people. If you ask me what you want my mother to tell God, I know she will tell God to protect all of us.

Baale Alahji Akeem Fatokun

 

 

“There is one aspect of this woman that nobody has spoken of which she spoke about several times. Baale Akeem said that when we talk about peace and disagreement, it is the rich men, those in government. The poor man does not fight a Muslim or a Christian. He said there is no difference between the Muslims in ibadan and Christians in ibadan. Baale said only one thing unites them- poverty. He said the solution to peace is to fight poverty which is exactly what mama fight for. She made me who I am today so that I can join the government to fight for peace and unity against diversity and poverty.

When asked what he’s going to missed about the late ma’am Taiwo Abeni Sinat Odunola, Baale Akeem Fatokun stressed that she was the PDP women leader in her community and now that she’s no more the position will be taken to another environment and that’s one of the things that he will missed, I will missed and already I am missing a whole lot about her. She stood by me during my struggle for Baale position even when it was not yet my turn, she came with full force to ensure I succeeded. She was a mother of all. Baale Akeem said
