Five worshippers have reportedly died, and many others were hospitalized after a feast at a church in Ibadan, Oyo Stat. The incident occurred last Sunday during a celebration where attendees consumed food that has not yet been confirmed as the cause of the fatalities.
Approximately 50 individuals were admitted to the Infectious Disease Centre in Olodo but have since been discharged. The state ministry of health and relevant authorities have been notified, and an investigation is currently underway. The Public Relations Officer of the State Police Command confirmed that updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
