Childlessness: Obaseki’s wife address Edo women diaspora on zoom meeting.

Betsy Obaseki, wife of Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki, recently addressed a Zoom meeting with Edo women in the diaspora, offering encouragement to those struggling with childlessness.

Her remarks came in response to a viral video of former Governor Adams Oshiomhole commenting on her personal situation. Mrs. Obaseki, who has experienced miscarriages and stillbirths, reassured women that they are not barren and emphasized that their value extends beyond biological motherhood.

She highlighted that being fruitful involves making a positive impact on society and fulfilling one’s purpose in various ways. Mrs. Obaseki urged women to focus on their lives and contributions, rather than their challenges, as a way to find fulfillment.

Alongside Mrs. Ifeyinwa Ighodalo, wife of the PDP governorship candidate, she emphasized continued support for women and girls’ initiatives. The meeting was also attended by Adesuwa Obasohan, who expressed support for the candidacy of Asue Ighodalo, continuing the group’s backing of Governor Obaseki.
