On Sunday, a major storm swept across Britain and into northern France leaving thousands of households without power.
The AFP news reported that about 180,000 households in France do not have electricity with coastal regions of Brittany and Normandy worst affected.
At the top of the Eiffel tower, Gusts of up to 145 kilometres per hour (km/h) were measured.
Meteorologists have named the storm Bella. Large parts of Britain with heavy rainfall and wind speeds of up to 112 km/h by storm Bella.
About 100 flood warnings came across the country on Sunday.
Parts of Northamptonshire and Bedfordshire in eastern England had houses flooded.
Experts have warned saying the ongoing storm could cause rivers to rise further.
more than 1,300 people across southern England had been advised to leave their homes over the Christmas period.
