The Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Akwa Ibom property investment limited, Barr. Patrick Udomfang has urged grassroots politicians under the platform of Peoples Democratic party, (PDP) to channel their attention to the succession agenda of Governor Udom Emmanuel.
Barr Udomfang stated this during a general meeting of PDP in Midim ward1 Abak local government which took place at the ward center located at St. Michael primary school, Midim recently.
The Investment director, an erstwhile secretary to Abak local government council called on the people of the ward to endeavor to participate on the ongoing voter’s registration, PDP e-registration and as well make themselves available for the ‘Maintain Peace Movement’, harmonization in the ward.
The midim Ward 1 born legal luminary cum politician who also chaired the meeting as the political leader of the ward, while enumerating the performance of the Governor Mr. Udom Emmanuel charges the people to key behind the succession agenda of the governor come 2023.
The former commissioner of Local government and chieftaincy affairs and one time National Director, Legal PDP also extolled the cooperation of some members of the party for their active partisanship which he said has been regularly crowning the party unanimous victories in previous elections.
Stating the significance of the ongoing voters registration, the midim born political guru stressed that the exercise will promote and enhance the possibility of the ward to attract new unit, ward, or clan pending on the enrollment of the voters strength, therefore, everyone should be fully involved and participate actively in the exercise.
About the Maintain Peace Movement, the MD/CEO APICO thanked every sons and daughters who created their time to participate in the inauguration of Maintain Peace Movement and the formation of steering committee that held yesterday 27/08/2021 at Independent hall Abak.
Barr Patrick Udomfang who is also a member of the Maintain Peace movement thanked God for the opportunity that Midim ward 1 had in selecting 2 of her sons to be among the steering committee, himself and former executive Chairman Abak. Barr. Paul Ubom.
He made it known that the aims and objectives of the organization is for the succession agenda of Governor, Udom Emmanuel.
However, the APICO CEO/MD used the medium to warn and crave the indulgence of the party on the issue of Chairman Elders forum of the party in Midim ward.
“There is a speculation that somebody has been parading himself as the chairman Elders forum, in Midim ward 1
Please I want to make it clear to the general public that there was no appointments/ nomination concerning chairman elders forum in Midim ward 1, there was no ward meeting since our last party Congress also there was no stakeholders meeting towards any appointment/nomination to that position”
In attendance, was the Honorable SA to the Governor Mr. Akan Ekaidem, the
Honorable councilor representing Midim ward 1. Hon. Uforo Xavier, the country secretary Amb. Ime Victor Michael,
Hon Supervisor of health Abak LGA, Prince Mkpo-uto Ibanga,
Former executive chairman Abak LGA Barr. Paul Ubom,
PDP ward Chairman Mr. Michael Mbet and all his Excos, former councilors i ward, Hon.Udeme Udombom, Hon. Saviour Hanson, Hon. Victor Edem, and Hon. Prince Uduak Etukudo who is currently the chief of staff to the Executive Chairman.
Also in the attendance for the meeting was all the elders and the chapter officers that represents the ward, former and present and all the party faithful in the Ward which totalled 135 in attendance.
Furthermore, the stakeholders and the party faithfuls in the ward will soon choose and decide who their chairman Elders forum is, and will be communicated to the public.
Please disregard any speculation/information concerning elders forum Chairman in Midim ward 1.
Therefore, the party aims and objectives now is to maintain peace in order to key-in to the succession agenda of Governor, Udom Emmanuel.
