Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, has issued a strong warning regarding potential electoral malpractice in Rivers State as the 2027 elections approach.
Speaking in Port Harcourt, he emphasized that any attempts to manipulate election results from the Rivers State House of Assembly would not be tolerated.
Wike criticized those who shift blame and hinted at a contentious political environment, stating that the local government elections are not comparable to the general elections.
He expressed his determination to prevent any unauthorized announcements of election results, underscoring the ongoing political tensions between him and Governor Sim Fubara.
