The Ex-President Nigeria President, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan was among those who joined virtually for the swearing-in of the President of the African Development Bank Dr. Akinwumi Adesina on Tuesday, September 1st.
Jonathan said he is very optimistic that with what Adesina was able to accomplish in his first tenure as the president of the AFDB, he will deliver this second term and not disappoint Africa and shareholders in the Bank.
The Former President thanked members of the board for giving Adesina another opportunity to serve in the next five years, assuring them that Adesina will perform better.
He recalled his experience with the newly re-elected president when he served during his administration as Minister of Agriculture.
The ex-president said the experience was worthwhile.
