… promises improved welfare for constituents

House of Representatives member, Hon Unyime Idem has presented to his constituents his achievements so far since he got their mandate even as he promised to do more.
Idem who is representing Ukanafun Federal Constituency in the lower chamber of the National Assembly said this at the commemoration as Christians celebrate Christmas.
A statement he made available to newsmen reads in part, “I am indeed thankful to the benevolent people of the Ukanafun Federal Constituency who have not only given me the platform but as well handed me their vision/mission which I have driven thus far.
“In the last one year and six months, I have relevantly served the federal constituency at large in notable capacities for positive changes at the National Assembly where I have made and contributed to a great impact.
I expect that with my continuous stay and intentional drive, the impact would be tripled and more lives would be affected positively in Ukanafun Oruk Anam federal constituency.”
Idem who recently distributed Covid-19 Palliatives in the form of 25kg Rice and cartons of Indomie Noodles to indigent families in Ukanafun Federal Constituency, to help cushion the effect of hunger and face masks and cartons of hand sanitizers to help people keep safe.
He listed some of his achievements as Job facilitation to youths in Ukanafun Federal Constituency in different Institutions, Ministries, and Agencies,
Idems have sponsored and co-sponsored a number of bills in the federal House, including National community service scheme, medium scale enterprises development Agency, Entrepreneurship education promotion, free internet access in public place bill, National broadcasting commission Act and education prohibition of fee and other charges.
However within 548 days in office, Hon Unyime Idems of Ukanafun/Oruk Anam federal constituency has 10 bills and 10 motions accredited to his name,

10. 4 Students got full scholarships
11. Support to 200 widows/aged
12. Shoe making 10 people

14. Electricals – 10 people
15. Tiling – 10 people
16. Mansory – 15 people
17. Make-up artiste, 5 (with complete make-up box)
18. Painting, 5
19. Baking and confectioneries – 5 people

The remaining 4, 000 beneficiaries will be empowered as follows:
