The All Progressives Congress (APC) has challenged the Rivers State High Court’s ruling that nullified the sacking of the Emeka Beke-led executive and the appointment of Tony Okocha’s caretaker committee.
The APC argues that the court lacks jurisdiction over the matter, asserting that only the Supreme Court can make final decisions on internal party issues. They also criticize the judgment as being influenced by political motivations and affirm their intention to appeal.
The caretaker committee insists it is operating in line with the party’s internal decisions and dismisses the court’s ruling as invalid.
