The Oyo State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed profound grief over the death of its chairman, Isaac Omodewu. Omodewu passed away in the United States late Sunday, where he had been undergoing treatment for an undisclosed illness since November 2023.
The state APC, through its publicity secretary Olawale Sadare, described his death as a significant loss to both the party and the country. Omodewu, who was 61, had been a prominent figure in the party, having served as a commissioner in various ministries from 2011 to 2019 under the late Senator Abiola Ajimobi. Sadare highlighted Omodewu’s humility, kindness, and his efforts to stabilize the party during challenging times.
The APC extends its condolences to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the party’s national chairman, and to all APC members, while praying for Omodewu’s soul and for strength for his family and associates.
