A group of women, under the banner of United Women for Good Governance, protested at the National Assembly, demanding an apology from Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan over her sexual harassment claims against Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
The protest, held on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, featured placards with messages such as “Apologise to the Senate President,” “We say no to Natasha’s serial blackmailing,” and “Akpabio treated Natasha as a daughter and friend.”
Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central, had recently accused Akpabio of sexually harassing her during a visit to his residence in December 2023 and again while seeking updates on her motion regarding the Ajaokuta Steel Company.
She also previously alleged that the Senate President deliberately isolated her through her seating arrangement.
