The national prayer session planned for August 10 at Isyaka Rabi’u’s Mosque in Goron Dutse, Kano, has been canceled due to security concerns.
The decision was announced by Mubarak Ibrahim Lawan, the Coordinator of the National Prayer, following intelligence reports indicating potential threats from groups planning to disrupt the event.
Security officials warned that the gathering could be hijacked and lead to further disturbances. Lawan advised the public to pray locally and remain vigilant against any suspicious activities.
