The All Progressives Congress (APC) has won the Ogbia Constituency II seat in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared the party’s candidate Obein Godknows, the winner.
In the result announced by the Returning Officer, Prof Johnson Ohakwe, Godknows polled a total of 5,291 votes.
He defeated the incumbent lawmaker, Munalayefa Gibson of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who scored 4,342 votes.
As it stands, the PDP will have 17 seats after the inauguration of the 10th House in June.
The APC will occupy five seats, while the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) will have two seats
