Bode George, a prominent member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Board of Trustees, has expressed his support for Sunday Ude-Okoye as the legitimate National Secretary of the party. This follows an ongoing dispute between Ude-Okoye and Samuel Anyanwu over the position.

The disagreement was discussed during a BoT meeting, which led to a resolution urging the PDP National Working Committee to officially swear in Ude-Okoye, based on a Court of Appeal ruling that confirmed him as the rightful National Secretary.

In an interview on Politics Today, George emphasized that the decision was grounded in the judicial ruling, asserting there was no opposing Court of Appeal decision to contest Ude-Okoye’s position. He advised Anyanwu to respect the court’s decision and allow peace to prevail within the party.

Despite the internal crisis, George remained confident that the PDP is more organized than the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and assured that the party’s foundation remains strong, even amidst the challenges.
