The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Akwa Ibom State Chapter, Hon. Ini Okopido has passed on.
Newsievent gathered that Okopido died in the early hours of today amid tears and efforts by family members and concerned friends to keep the Chairman alive.
It is learnt Okopido died after battling with suspected chronic pile disease, though many have linked his death to spiritual forces.
We understand that the APC family has gone into deep mourning over his demise, conscious of the fact that his elder brother and former Minister of State for Environment, Late (Dr) Ime Okopido, died some months ago and is yet to be buried.
