A Peoples Democratic Party youths wing under the umbrella of youths vanguard, has called for a rancour-free congresses as members of the party elect delegates set for the forthcoming local government congress. The groy cautioned against imposition of candidates in Abak LGA.
The group, in a statement issued in Abak LGA on Sunday, asked members of the party to conduct themselves peacefully according to the rules of the game, stressing that the will of the people must be allowed to prevail.
The statement read in part, “As we warmup to select a new chapter chairman of our great party in Abak LGA t we must be guided by democratic tenets and observe the principle of fairness and justice that there is no place in the constitution of the party where any office is macro-zone
“We must demonstrate to fellow country men and women that we are truly democratic. I am sure that our members nationwide will showcase our reformed and rebranded party as the preferred choice for the people.”
“Nobody can shy away from the fact that Abak LGA is currently faced with intractable imposition of candidate challenges that unarguably threatens the corporality of the party in the future general election”
“Recently Abak LGA has been faced with serious trait of imposition of uncertainty, despair, suspicion and division. Time has come for all men and women who care and have the requisite experiences and courage to stand up, retrieve it from the brink and lead our great party to victory in the next general election”
The PDP group expressed optimism that with the former leader of Abak legislative council Hon. Kokoette Inyang PDP is serve to drive to the road map to recovery and prosperity, in the future election.
The group called on the leadership of the party at the state to step into the kidnapping of equity and fairness in the selection of chapter chairman of the party in Abak LGA. They assure that the former leader of the council with render nothing but actionability movement that will lead the party to victory in the forthcoming general election.
