Edo State’s Governor-Elect, Monday Okpebholo, has made his first key appointment ahead of his inauguration, naming Fred Itua as his Chief Press Secretary.

Itua, a respected journalist and former Assistant Political Editor for The Sun newspaper, will take on the role immediately following Okpebholo’s swearing-in.

The appointment signals the incoming administration’s commitment to effective communication as Okpebholo, of the APC, prepares to succeed the outgoing PDP Governor, Godwin Obaseki.
