The Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Uche Ekwunife Ph.D, has joined friends and well-wishers of Engr. Ifeanyi Chris Kammelu of Oraukwu in Idemili North LGA of Anambra state to mourn the death of their son, late Engr. Stanley Ifeanyi Kammelu (Jnr).
Late Engr. Kammelu, who died in a boating accident in Canada was the first son of Engr Kammelu (Snr). The deceased father, Engr. Kammelu is the Executive Director of the Board of the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA) in the South East.
The Service of songs which was held at All Saints Anglican Church, Abuja had in attendance dignitaries from different strata of society notably were Secretary to the Government of the Federation of Nigeria, Boss Mustapha and wife. Others include Nigeria’s Ambassador to the Republic of Burundi, Elijah Onyeagba, Heads of Parastatals, Chief Executive Officer of FERMA, Engr. Nuruddeen Abdurrahman Rafindadi, FNSE, FAEng, FNAHS, Directors of FERMA amongst others.
In her condolence message, Ekwunife described the late Kammelu who was an Robotic/Automation Engineer as a man who impacted and left an indelible mark on everyone who crossed paths with him. She noted that the deceased was known for good virtues and exemplary lifestyle. Ekwunife prayed God to comfort and give the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
The Chairman Senate Committee on Science and Technology, however on behalf of her family and the good people of Anambra Central Senatorial District extended condolences to Engr. Kammelu and the entire family.
