Protesters at Eagles Square in Abuja vocally opposed Minister of State for Youths Development Ayodele Olawande, drowning out his attempts to address them.
Despite the minister’s assurance of support and his past experience in protests, the crowd chanted “hunger dey” to express their frustrations.
Olawande promised to address the issue of police violence against protesters. The demonstrators, however, remain resolute in their refusal to move to the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, citing recent experiences of unimpeded protests.
