The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mr. Nyesom Wike, has assured residents affected by the ongoing construction of the Arterial Road N5 that they will be compensated. During an inspection of projects in Life Camp, Katampe, and the International Conference Centre on Monday, Wike confirmed that some crops and homes along the road corridor from Life Camp Junction to Ring Road III would be impacted. The project, which is set to create a 4-kilometer six-lane dual carriageway, had its groundbreaking ceremony on October 25.

Wike emphasized that compensation for affected residents, whether through relocation or financial support, will be provided as necessary. He reassured the public that the government is working collaboratively with local communities to address the challenges arising from the project. The minister’s approach underscores the administration’s commitment to balancing development with the well-being of residents.
