Flood: Over 2000 households render homeless in zamfara state.

Flooding in Zamfara State has left over 2000 households homeless across various communities in Talata Mafara local government area. The disaster has resulted in significant property and livestock losses.

Affected communities include Ruwan Gora, Morai, Makera, and Talata Mafara town. The Zamfara State Emergency Management Agency (ZEMA) has confirmed the incident and conducted an assessment visit.

Executive Secretary Ahmed Bala Gusau, represented by Director of Disaster Management Mr. Hassan Usman Dauran, assured that the state government is committed to addressing the crisis.

Talata Mafara’s Sole Administrator, Usman Jafar, also expressed sympathy and advised against obstructing waterways.
