Flood render Over 89 houses families homeless, seven missing in Niger state.

In Niger State, Nigeria, severe flooding has led to seven people being reported missing and the destruction of over 89 houses.

The flood, caused by heavy rainfall from 2 am to 12 pm on Friday, affected the Sabon Pegi area in Mashegu Local Government and Nasarawa in Magama Local Government.

The deluge also washed away three vehicles and hundreds of hectares of farmland. Niger State Emergency Management Agency (NSEMA) is actively involved in search and rescue operations.

This incident underscores the increasing frequency of severe flooding in Nigeria, which has caused significant displacement and damage across the country.
