Garba Shehu Disagrees With Governor Masari Over Number Of Abducted Students

The Governor of Kastina State Aminu Masari confirmed that at least 333 students were missing. He made this known while briefing a Federal Government delegation led by Minister of Defence, Maj Gen Bashir Magashi (retd.),
“The children so far kidnapped cut across the state because of the boarding school houses all children from all parts of the state and some even from outside the state”. He said.
In a statement on Saturday, the President through its Senior Special Assistant on Media and publicity Mr. Garba Shehu told the BBC Hausa that only ten children were remaining in the hands of the gunmen according to their colleagues who escaped from the gunmen.
Garba Shehu said the school children who escaped said 10 of their friends are still with the abductors.
He gave an assurance that the military had located the bandits’ location and was in the process of retrieving the abducted students, and almost a day since the promise was made, the schoolboys are yet to return.
