Governor Muhammadu Yahaya Of Gombe State has compensated Mr. Dahiru Buba, the man who embarked on a solidarity trek for President Muhammadu Buhari in 2015 and has cried out 5 years later for being abandoned after developing a limb problem.
The 50-year-old, a native of Dukku local government area of the state, trekked from Gombe to Abuja to celebrate President Muhammadu Buhari’s victory in the 2015 general elections.
Buba, who after speaking out regarding how difficult things have been for him after the solidarity walk, has received N2 million and a car gift from Gombe state governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya.
During the presentation of the gifts to Buba, a commercial driver on Monday, November 16, in Abuja, the governor said he had ordered that Buba should be taken to the hospital for proper medical attention.
In a statement issued by his media aide, Ismaila Uba Misilli,
“So on learning about his condition, first I directed that he should be taken to the hospital for proper medical attention and I am happy that he is now better after undergoing his first round of treatment.”
” He said even with his earlier challenges after he returned from his 15-day journey, his spirit had never been dampened in his love for the president and his party.”
“For taking the pains and risks to show solidarity with Mr. President and our great party, people like Buba should not be neglected. By embarking on that solidarity trek, Dahiru Buba had shown patriotism and support, he should therefore be appreciated and encouraged.”
