Gov.Adeleke says his administration is initiating transportation system to Compressed Natural Gas in osun state.

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has announced an ongoing initiative to convert the state’s transportation system to Compressed Natural Gas (CNG).

This project, active since January 2024, aims to modernize transportation by converting the Imole buses to CNG, a more sustainable and cost-effective fuel alternative.

The state is collaborating with the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) and other stakeholders, including three companies in public-private partnerships. Plans include establishing CNG charging stations and acquiring additional CNG-powered buses.

This effort is part of a broader federal initiative to promote CNG adoption nationwide.
